Najib's golden pathway to PM throne, paved by "accidents" charted by the Kabal since 1974 (Part 1)

- by Manaf BN.

After (Tengku Razaleigh) KuLi's success with Bank Bumi and other ventures, Tun Razak was happy to see KuLi as a future PM with a bright future for Malaysia. Similar to Lee Kuan Yew's dynastic PM succession (modus operandi to dismiss allegations of nepotism) KuLi was Tun Razak's first choice for a transition PM after his retirement, with Najib Razak as his DPM. But the Kabal couldn't wait so long and certainly, not in their interest to have such a capable patriotic PMs as Razak and KuLi. But most important of all, they needed a siting duck PM that is beholden to Kabal; so full of scandals and dark secrets, that their Manchurian Candidate (MC) would not hesitate to kill Malaysians, even his own Malay brothers to destroy a free, independent and prosperous Malaysia. The Kabal needed impoverished debt slaves they can control. Not happy, well-fed, independent-minded Malaysians. The Kabal needed 30 million mind-controlled factory production debt slave robots, not 30 million problematic free-thinkers.

note:
It is now evident that Najib got the PM throne on the silver platter, courtesy of the Kabal. Kabal is the general term grouping all Zionists, Khazar Mafia and their network global conglomerates, minions, undercover agents, infiltrators provocateurs, politicians and presstitutes led by the Khazarian Zionist Banksters aka KZB, such as the Rothschild, Rockefeller and JP Morgans families.
~~~~ end of note ~~~~~
Mahathir was also another brilliant guy Tun Razak picked. Tun Razak had the knack to spot talents. Like Tun Ismail (his Deputy PM) another true Malaysian patriot. In similar fashion, Mahathir's intention was to groom Anwar Ibrahim as the future transition PM after his retirement, with Mukhriz as Anwar's DPM. Anwar was chosen after Musa Hitam (Mahathir's 1969 May13 co-conspirator) was persuaded by the Najib-Kabal faction to split from Mahathir in the 1986 KuLi's challenge for the PM throne (that's another long story, in another article).
Notice that Tun Razak dared not visit China until after Nixon's historic visit in 1971. The Kabal didn't like that. A year later, they set up the Watergate Scandal and Nixon was booted out of office (impeached). Although Nixon was their Manchurian Candidate as well, the Kabal saw Nixon's Ping-Pong diplomacy as an attempt to move out of the Kabal's total control. That's another story.
Tun Razak meets China PM Chou En-Lai in 1974
Following Nixon's visit to China, Tun Razak seized the opportunity to send a letter to China PM Chou En-Lai which paved way for Tun Razak's own historic visit to China in 1974.  The Kabal didn't like that too. In 1976 (14 Jan) Tun Razak was dead too. Remember all those patriotic heroes who did not want to be controlled by the Kabal; all died before their time. JFK was assassinated in Nov 22, 1963. Soekarno was disposed off by a young traitor general, Suharto in 1965. Tun Dr. Ismail died of heart attack in 1973, just 3 yrs after being DPM in 1970. Don't you see the pattern?
The Kabal wouldn't allow KuLi to continue making Malaysia into a technically advanced, rich and independent nation. Under his charge, Petronas proved to be a real "pain-in-ass" threat to their monopoly on oil exploitation in Asia. So they hatched a plan to kill him off with the rest of Sabah cabinet led by Tun Faud. Unfortunately, Harris Salleh saw KuLi as an insurance against the Kabal.
He literally pulled KuLi from the ill-fated plane with a feeble excuse "let's look at my cows (of all things)".  See where Sharizat's cowgate originated from?  KuLi is Heaven's gift to us. The Kabal knew that. The Kabal tried using Najib to destroy him (or at least his political career) several times but failed. He has divine protection. He is our choice for PM,  to put things right after all the destruction by Najib. A survivor, KuLi should be able to counter the Kabal's puppets replacement for Najib.
Why did the Kabal not block Mahathir's ascension to the PM throne?
Mahathir, though not educated (brainwashed) in UK or US, was a first generation Malaysian (his father was born in India) and therefore, not thought of as a true patriot of TanahAir (motherland) like Tun Ismail or KuLi.
He might be more easily persuaded (bribed) to act in the Zionist Kabal geopolitical interests. Not born with a silver spoon into the traditional Malay ruling royal elite, he was thought of, as another Lee Kuan Yew (another brilliant politician bought into the Kabal fold). Great. With Lee Kuan Yew in Singapore and Mahathir in KL, the whole Malay Archipelago chain (including Indonesia under another Kabal crony, Suharto) could be totally under Kabal control and manipulation.
The Kabal at that time had no other choices, really. Ghafar Baba (the 3rd UMNO Vice President) was too much of a ground-root Malay leader and not cunning enough, to deceive the Malay population. Worst of all, Ghafar Baba could not "ACT" as in crisis acting like Najib in MH370.
All the capable forerunners (competitors to Najib) had to be conveniently disposed of, to pave the golden pathway to the PM throne for the lazy, shirt chaser born-with-a-silver-spoon Prince of Darkness. Tun Dr Ismail as Tun Razak's DPM, had to be disposed off first. Typical of the Kabal-made-up prophesies, RAHMAN  was prophesized as the first alphabet of PM names. N was meant to be Najib.
After Tun Razak was murdered, Malaysians meekly accepted an ill-health Hussein Onn as their PM. His tenure as PM was mean to be a short transition to the next PM, Mahathir. Meanwhile Najib was fast-tracked from youngest elected MP, to youngest cabinet deputy minister (age 25), to UMNO Vice President in 1993.
Reconciled with Mahathir, Musa Hitam posed a stumbling block to Najib being elected as the youngest Vice President in 1993.  There was only one UMNO vice president slot left. Anwar moved up from the vice presidency slot to DPM. If Musa were to contest for that seat, Najib's chance would be very slim indeed. Musa was persuaded by Mahathir to go for the vice presidency slot, as a backup, in case Anwar failed as his DPM. Further if Anwar and Musa worked as a tag team with Mahathir, Najib's fast track to the PM throne may be blocked forever. Their Sodomy Plot to get rid of Anwar would be of no use. Mahathir would just resort to Musa as his DPM again. They can't do a "shoot once" Sodomy Plot on Musa as Mahathir and the whole world would be too suspicious.
But why would Najib be in such a hurry to be PM? Actually, Najib was just a puppet and did not know beyond the "need to know" details. It was the Kabal who were in such a hurry. For that we have to turn to President Bush and US.
The Kabal had planned to totally dominate the world before the turn of the millennium ie rule directly, not  by proxies or deception as Mahathir had constantly asserted. The whole world missed the political significance of the fall of the Soviet Union and Bush's declaration of the NEW WORLD ORDER. Any surprise, Operation Desert Storm struck on Jan 19, 1991 (119).
Kabal President Bush launch New World Order after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
President Bush had earlier given his famous speech on Sept 11, 1990, on the New World Order.  The Soviet Union mysteriously and obediently disintegrated in 1988. But President Bush's imperial plan fell through. A cocksure overconfident Bush lost unexpectedly his 2nd term re-election to an unknown governor from Arkansas, Bill Clinton.
In any case, Bush's failure to secure a 2nd term was just a minor set back. They could easily lure another sex-crazed President Clinton into their Kabal circle with sex and wealth. Thus, an intern (Monica Lewinsky, a Khazar Jew) was used to bait President Clinton into a difficult-2-get-out sex scandal. Although Clinton was accidentally elected, the Kabal saw Clinton as a brilliant PR act. It is like breaking a wild horse to finally submit to the will of the Kabal. Clinton finally had no choice but to be the Kabal's puppet President and later, their puppet mouth piece.
The Kabal was preparing for the staged false flag 911 on Sept 11, 2001. Malaysia's PM Najib had to be installed by then or shortly thereafter, for their global anarchy-global take over.
1997 Asian Financial crisis, a precursor to the Zionist Global Coup.
Under their grand plan, Mahathir was supposed to fall in the 1997 Asian Financial crisis. Thailand was ready under Taksin's heavy influence, as Deputy Superintendent of Policy & Planning Sub-division. Many of the top police officers were trained by him. By the time he entered politics in late 1994, he was ready to ready to take on the PM throne in Thailand, after the 1997 Asian Financial crisis.
Suharto, already an aged dictator, was also ready to give way to his successor, Habibie. Singapore, under Lee Kuan Yew has always been under the Kabal's total control. Singapore is one of their Wealth Transfer-Collection centres, like Hong Kong, Cyprus and Iceland. So the stage was pretty much set in Asia.
Was the 1993 Highland Towers Collapse, a manufactured accident?
But Malaysia was not ready. The problem was Mahathir in Malaysia and Putin in Russia.
To be continued....
The day Mahathir resigned, and returned as PM
The day Mahathir resigned, and returned as PM
This year's Umno general assembly will be surely remembered as one in which long-time party president and prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad stunned delegates with his announcement to resign from all posts only for them to coax him into changing his mind later.
One hour after Mahathir announced his shock resignation, his deputy Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said the veteran leader had retracted his decision, thanks to the persuasive powers of party leaders and delegates.
And two hours later, at about 9pm, Abdullah, this time with the presence of all the supreme council members, told a hastily held press conference that Mahathir was still their chief.
However, still baffling is the reason for Mahathir wanting to resign.
There was no indication as to the drama that was going to unfold when Mahathir started his winding up speech at the 56th Umno General Assembly at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur at 4.30pm.
For almost 90 minutes, Mahathir, in power for almost 21 years, told the 2,000-odd delegates attending the assembly the government's plans on the implementation of meritocracy, lambasted PAS' proposed hudud bill and explained how he was managing the economy.
But just shortly before 6pm, he said, "Umno is strong today. The young and the old who deserted Umno a few years ago have now come back to the party fold."
Moments later, Mahathir, stopping first for a sip of water, said he had an important announcement to make.
Teary announcement
He was almost in tears at this stage, something which had not surprised the delegates as he had cried in the past three AGM's over various issues.
With all delegates and party supreme council members in attention, Mahathir slowly and choking back tears, said he had decided to resign from his party posts.
Then he paused for more water, and with tears swelling in his eyes, announced that he was resigning from being the chairperson of ruling coalition Barisan Nasional.
Party top leaders, delegates, as well as everyone watching the proceeding live on television, were at first too stunned to react.
However, before Mahathir could continue further, the women's wing chief and a devout Mahathir supporter Rafidah Aziz, Youth head Hishammuddin Hussein and party secretary-general Khalil Yaakob rushed to the podium.
With Rafidah on his right and Hishammuddin on the left, both asked Mahathir, "Why? Why?"
Standing behind Mahathir, Khalil was seen calling the other party leaders to come to Mahathir, resulting in almost all supreme council members mobbing Mahathir, begging and persuading him to stay on.
In between the flurry of activities, Abdullah took the microphone and told Mahathir "we hope you will change your mind."
By now, a sobbing Mahathir said, "I've decided a long time ago".
Abdullah also told the astounded crowd that the supreme council was proposing an emergency resolution rejecting Mahathir's decision. The delegates responded with a resounding "Yes".
However, Mahathir, now surrounded by almost all key Umno members, was seen shaking his head as if indicating that he would not budge from his decision.
Reality also finally dawned upon the delegates some still puzzled, most in tears began shouting "long live Mahathir".
The delegates and observers in the venue also started shouting "Withdraw. Withdraw. Long Live Mahathir. Long live Mahathir". Some of them emotionally sang the Umno song and the national anthem.
Back door dealing
While the party leaders were still trying to persuade Mahathir to change his mind, party permanent chairperson Sulaiman Ninam Shah ordered everyone not involved to leave the hall and adjourned the meeting for 10 minutes.
An hour later, Abdullah emerged on the stage and announced that Mahathir had agreed to retract his decision, evoking a tremendous applause from party leaders and delegates.
Later when interviewed by TV station RTM, Abdullah said Mahathir was overwhelmed by the response shown by all the delegates who begged him to stay.
"The delegates were firm on their stand and when I proposed the resolution, they all unanimously approved it."
He added that he and other party leaders then met with Mahathir in a special room to indicate the support he still has in the party.
"We told him that the party wants him to continue to lead us and the government."
Abdullah added that Mahathir finally relented and agreed to heed the wishes of party members.
Days before the beginning of the AGM, Mahathir told Mingguan Malaysia of his disappointment over his failure to change the attitude of the Malays even though various efforts had been made.
Even in his opening speech, Mahathir said Malays were still weak and backward after three decades of preferential treatment, and warned that they were "far from being safe" and would not survive if privileges under the New Economic Policy were withdrawn.
Seeking forgiveness
He apologised at least four times to the delegates for publicly exposing Malay weaknesses and sought forgiveness for his failure to change their mindset.
"I have tried my very best... but mostly I feel disappointed because I achieved too little result from my principal task of making my race successful. I beg your pardon because I have failed," he had said.
Mahathir never came back to face the troubled Umno delegates after his shock announcement and his subsequent retraction. He had instead gone back home to be with his family.
The prime minister is expected to take leave immediately and would be visiting Thailand and Venezuela next week.
Meanwhile, the Umno delegates will return to their respective hometowns tomorrow, still puzzled as to why their president had wanted to resign.
Mahathir's Bombshell- the facts on TIA, 1MDB, Jho Low & Najib's abuses of Authority So FAR.
- by Tun Dr Mahathir
1. From the comments on my blog and the questions I have been asked by people while shopping, it is clear that many do not know much about 1MDB. They know enough that Najib has done something wrong with the RM42 billion borrowed money, but are not clear about what is so wrong that I should call upon him to resign.
2. So I think I need to explain why 1MDB is wrong in stages.
The Terengganu Investment Authority
3. Firstly the attempt to hijack the Terengganu Investment Authority (TIA) money. Petronas pays 5% of its gross earnings to the Terengganu Government. Over the years their royalty has grown quite big.
4. Jho Low persuaded Najib to make the TIA into a sovereign fund for investment like the Kuwait Investment Fund but under Najib’s control. Appointments of staff were made by Najib without Terengganu’s knowledge. Terengganu agreed at first but when Najib decided to raise through bonds RM5 billion using Terengganu oil wells as collateral, the istana and the Government thought it was not right.
5. Terengganu requested that the issuance of the bonds be deferred. Najib went ahead. Terengganu accordingly withdrew as it cannot let its’ oil wells be put at risk.
6. Jho Low then advised Najib that the Federal Government should guarantee the loan. Strictly speaking such a matter should be discussed and approved by Cabinet. There is no evidence that a cabinet paper was prepared and presented for approval despite the amount being unusually big. In fact for a long time Cabinet was not aware of the activities of 1MDB.
7. To avoid scrutiny by officials, the loan was classified as off – budget i.e. outside the annual budget presented to and approved by Parliament. Off – budget spending can be made but usually only limited in amount. RM5 billion have never been borrowed by Government or any of its agencies. It should not be off-budget. It should get Cabinet approval first and then presented to Parliament. None of these procedures were followed.
8. It is not clear whether any Government department or agencies have scrutinised the terms of the loans. But the terms were very unfavourable to 1MDB and the Government.
9. Goldman Sachs which was entrusted with raising the loan was given;
i) Commission of 10%
ii) The interest rate was fixed at 5.9%
10. What this means is that of the RM5 billion borrowed 1MDB would get only RM4.5 billion. Goldman Sachs would get RM500 million as commission, an inordinately large sum.
11. But 1MDB would pay 5.9% interest on the whole of RM5 billion. Since it gets only RM4.5 billion the rate of interest on this amount would be 6.6% plus. Goldman Sachs need not pay interest on the RM500,0000/- it got as commission.
12. Loans taken by Government or guaranteed by Government would normally carry 3% interest or less. But the 1MDB loan cost almost 7% interest i.e, about RM350 million a year or almost RM1 million per day.
13. Who approved such terrible terms for a loan to a government owned company? We would like to know who. There must be some documents with the signature of the approving authority. If not somebody needs to answer for this stupidity. Or is it abuse of authority.
14. But more loans were raised from local as well as foreign banks. In all RM42 billion were borrowed. It is not clear what the terms are. But interest on RM42 billion must come to almost RM3 billion a year. Unless the investment yield fantastic returns, the interest burden would sink 1MDB. In fact as everyone knows Ananda Krishnan had to make available RM2 billion to pay the interest. Is it a loan or a free gift? Later 1MDB had to sell shares or properties for USD1 billion (RM3.7 billion) in order to settle short term loan from a German bank.
15. 1MDB is effectively headed by the Prime Minister who is also the Minister of Finance. When loans of more than 100 million are raised for investment overseas Bank Negara has to approve. But the final approval must come from the Minister responsible. And the Minister responsible is also the effective head of 1MDB.
Investments
16. The best known investments by 1MDB were in the purchase of power plants and Government land as well as private land.
Power Plants
17. RM18 billion was spent to purchase IPP belonging to Ananda Krishnan, Genting Sanyen Power (now known as Kuala Langat Power Plant) and Jimah Energy.
18. The prices paid for Genting Sanyen and Ananda’s IPP were well above market price. 1MDB also paid RM6 billion for unpaid loans. The Jimah IPP was to put up another power plant. But 1MDB had no money to build this plant
19. Genting Sanyen and Tanjung Energy (now known as Powertek Energy Sdn Bhd) were nearing expiration of their licenses. Had 1MDB waited until the licenses expired, the price would be next to nothing.
20. Why 1MDB did not wait until the expiry of the license is a mystery. Genting and Ananda clearly made more money than they were entitled to. One estimate is that the high price netted the sellers an extra RM3 billion. Besides they are relieved of the loan of RM6 billion.
21. So not only is the borrowing costly but the high cost of investments will mean low returns. Why is 1MDB so stupid.
22. As stated above 1MDB is unable to get the IPP listed again. Who would want to own overpriced and obviously unprofitable power plant.
Purchase of Land
23. The land along Jalan Tun Razak was actually meant for an agency to build shops etc for Bumiputras. But instead the Government sold the 70 acres to 1MDB for RM320 million i.e. at RM 60/- psf. Land close by had been sold at RM7000 /-psf. 1MDB should pay at least RM3000 to RM4000 /- psf.
24. Government lost a huge amount of money from the sales. The question is why did the Government sell at such a low price. One cannot help thinking it is because the PM ordered the sale. If so it is wrong and it constitutes abuse of authority. The full value should be paid to the Government now.
25. Then 1MDB decides to sell a small part of the land at the price it bought the whole 70 acres of land. Payment was made by Tabung Haji even before the transfer of ownership was completed. Apparently 1MDB needed the money immediately.
26. The directors of 1MDB and Tabung Haji are the same people. They claim that they abstained from voting. But obviously it was not an arms– length deal.
27. If the Government could sell to 1MDB at RM60 /- psf, it should also sell at the same price to TH. But effectively it has used money saved by intending pilgrims to give enormous profit to 1MDB.
28. It is the same with the Sungai Besi airport land. 1MDB acquires it at the ridiculously low price of RM90 /- psf. The value of the land is at least RM2000 /- psf.
29. But 1MDB bought private land in Penang at a much higher price. Yet the land is not at the centre of the city, has more than 1000 squatters and has not obtained the Penang Government approval for development. Seems like 1MDB had overpaid the seller for useless land. Why?
Assets
30. 1MDB claims it has assets worth RM52 billion.
31. So far no explanation has been given as to how these assets are valued. How much is the value of all the power plants. And how much are the prices of land worth?
32. Future values after development may be big but billions of Ringgits must be invested before the property can be sold. After deducting cost, the return cannot be very big. The power plants and the land cannot be worth RM52 billion.
33. Even if this money is used to repay debts, the disappearance of billions of Ringgit must be recovered, or 1MDB should be charged for the loss. - chedet.cc
Najib & IGP have INSULTED Dr Mahathir & all Malaysians
Written by J.D. Lovrenciar
The “Nothing2Hide” Forum that never was has preoccupied an entire nation’s concerned citizens. Conversation in person and across the on-line news portals and social media is gushing with condemnation for the prime minister of Malaysia and the Inspector General of Police.
Let us not try to sound politically correct by denying the reality on the ground please!
Datuk Seri Najib and the IGP have insulted the Malaysian public which best explains why people find both their explanations over the no-show and shoving of the Tun, totally unacceptable.
The insults can be summarized as follows:
One, the prime minister agreed to use the forum platform to help concerned citizens to better appreciate his version of the 1MDB debacle. But he did not turn up let alone send a representative to come in person and speak on his behalf or announce the prime minister's absence.
Two, the Police gave the permit for the NGO to organize the event. And it was to be held right within the compound vicinity of the UMNO headquarters, PWTC.So how can it not be secure? And the audience was not in the tens of thousands as in the days of the 'Reformasi' outbreak.
Three, this event was proudly paraded to the public following hot on the heels of Arul Kanda’s seemingly detailed explanation on the books of 1MDB and the earlier proud announcement of an apparent local Public Relations guru being hired to salvage and prop up a falling Najib.
But not only did the prime minister not show up but to make the insults even more hurtful, the IGP tweets that the show has to be cancelled and cites ‘security’ as the reason.
What also cuts a deeper wound in the hearts of the citizens is the manner in which the police on duty were instructed to act on the statesman Tun Dr Mahathir.
Is it then any wonder that in response the first, courageous Royal Crown Prince has openly returned fire at Najib with a thundering ‘Everything to Hide’ blast? Kudos to the Royalty!
How long more must we reel and twist in agony with this 1MDB debacle and the way the prime minister and the IGP are insulting this nation of people?
How long more must we tolerate all the insults that are thrown in the path of Tun Dr Mahathir who is only echoing the people’s concerns and owing to his very own deep sense of remorse for putting Najib behind the wheels of a country?
The on-line media is almost chocking with an overdrive expressions of concerns by netizens. But the government of the day continues to keep insulting the people with its main stream ‘feel good’ news instead.
It is best that the prime minister and the IGP step down out of patriotism and duty to nation. Please do not hold 30 million people at ransom.
The increasing multitude of citizens cannot be wrong. Please save us the pain of all these ‘overdrive’ insults. -
PM Najib reply to little brother Faizal on Nothing2Hide No show
Na-Jinx (short for National Jinx) replied: Dear little brother Faizal ....
I'll be lying if I say I have nothing 2 hide
But who was talking about 1MDB Nothing2Hide?
Theme of the Open Dialogue was "I have Nothing2Hide"
Nothing2Hide was only for invited blindfolded NGOs
Nothing2Hide would be too vulgar for Mahathir, already 90 years old. Appearing totally Naked, means I have Nothing2Hide
No veil, no screen, no costume...just plain Me in my birthday suit as in Nothing-left2Hide. Nothing2Hide plain as ABC, just me on stage exposing my naked body in pure raw hide.
Why would I want to take U 4 a ride?
My new private jet is for RoastPork & I.
If U r as beautiful as Altantuya, then U can join me for a ride
But only when RoastPork is out shopping on a global joy ride.
Yes, a Bugis Pirate, as cold blooded murderer as I can be
Stealing, plundering, murdering, lying, professionally trained I was to be
For 40 yrs, I was wheely dealing & politicking,as u have eyes to see
My dark past is Everything2Hide, but still a PM U elected me to be.
If U had truly thought I have Nothing2Hide, Not my fault But yr naive thoughts If U had truly thought 1MDB has Nothing2Hide, then u r dumber than I thought So easy to fool, that's the brilliant work of my latest PR wizard Lim Kok Wing As the LAST PM of Malaysia, Malaysians will forever be debt slaves, spellbound & hoodwinked. Faisal, I hope the above clears the little misunderstanding u had on our PR blitzkrieg. I took the time 2 respond 2 u so that u and the other 30 millions Malaysians know what is in store for 1MDB ( 1 Malaysia under Debt-slavery Bondage).
Johore, next to withdraw support for Najib
THE JOHOR PRINCE WHO DARED TO SPEAK UP: A public scolding Najib will never forget .
The 'Nothing to Hide' dialogue has shaped up to be the biggest public relations misadventure for Najib, and could put new PR czar Lim Kok Wing's job on the line.
Despite claiming the police advised him against attending the event due to security concerns, the general perception is that the premier went weak in the knees after learning about Mahathir's presence and the police chief was instructed to take a bullet for Najib.
The incident became all the more comical and damaging because it occurred some 24 hours after Najib declared in Sarawak that he has the blood of warriors coursing through his veins and would not bow to pressure or be intimidated.
It is mind-boggling how the prime minister's PR team failed to anticipate this disaster and allowed Najib to agree to the dialogue in the first place.
But it is too late to bandage the wounds for Najib is bleeding warrior blood profusely, especially after the blue-blooded royal slashing.
Speaking of Johor, Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, who has been critical of 1MDB and rumoured to be at odds with his boss, hails from the state and heads Johor Umno.
Whereas the organiser of the 'Nothing to Hide' dialogue, Khairul Anwar Rahmat, is Johor Umno Youth deputy chief.
A royal coincidence? - M'kini
Johore, next to withdraw support for Najib 20130627kl03
Malay Mail Online) – This morning the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar ordered a public discussion on 1Malaysia Development Berhad which was to be attended by the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to be cancelled on grounds of ‘public peace and harmony’.
Worse, police entered the premises of the forum and prevented former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad from continuing his speech.
This action by the IGP is both undemocratic and blatantly unlawful.
The police have no powers under the Police Act 1967 or any other Malaysian law to prohibit the open discussion of a matter of public finance and accountability.
How can a forum on the mismanagement of a public body be a threat to “public peace and harmony”?
The action of the IGP in stopping the forum is thus arbitrary, in breach of the rule of law and the right to freedom of expression under the federal constitution.
The IGP and police force have no duty, right or power to regulate public discourse in this country. They have grossly overstepped their powers and must be reined in.
Najib and the BN government owe all Malaysians an immediate explanation for this morning’s disturbing events. In particular, there must be an independent inquiry into the actions of the IGP in ordering the cancellation.
The time has come for all Malaysians, irrespective of political affiliation, to unite against the increasing erosion of the rule of law and negation of our fundamental freedoms.
